Hey Glow Mama,
This past weekend, something happened that shook me a little, and I want to share it with you. It wasn’t a major event, but sometimes, it’s the small, unexpected moments that have the biggest impact.
The Experience:
Saturday morning started like any other. Adams was up early, and I was rushing around trying to get us both ready for the day. I had a long list of things to do, from grocery shopping to tackling that never-ending pile of laundry. As the day went on, I felt the usual pressure building, trying to juggle everything at once.
But then, something stopped me in my tracks. While we were out to buy some groceries, Adams asked if we could go to the park. At first, I hesitated…I had so much to do! But there was something in his voice that made me pause. So, I said yes, and we spent the next hour playing, laughing, and enjoying the sunshine.
As I watched him run around without a care in the world, I realized something important: in my rush to get everything done, I was missing out on these precious moments. And the truth is, the laundry could wait. What mattered most was being present, both for Adams and for myself.
The Reflection:
That simple hour at the park made me reflect on how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness of life, to the point where we forget to enjoy the little things that truly matter. I started asking myself some important questions:
Am I really prioritizing what’s most important in my life?
How often do I let the pressure of getting things done take away from the joy of simply being present?
What small adjustments can I make to ensure that I’m not just checking off tasks, but also creating meaningful memories?
After this experience, I decided it was time to make some adjustments. This week, I’m committing to being more mindful about how I spend my time. I’m going to allow myself to slow down, to say yes to the spontaneous moments that bring joy, and to remind myself that it’s okay if everything doesn’t get done right away.
I encourage you to do the same. Take a moment to reflect on your own life:
Are there areas where you’re rushing through, missing out on the present moment?
What small changes can you make to prioritize what truly matters?
How can you create more space for the things that bring you and your loved ones joy?
Your Challenge:
This week, I invite you to try something new: slow down and be fully present, even if it’s just for a few minutes each day. Whether it’s spending extra time with your kids, taking a quiet walk, or simply pausing to enjoy a cup of coffee, let yourself be in the moment. Notice how it makes you feel and what shifts for you.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear about your experience. How did it feel to slow down? What did you notice? What changes do you want to make moving forward?
Let’s keep this conversation going and help each other grow. If you’re not already a subscriber, I’d love for you to join the Glow Mama community. Together, we can inspire each other to live more balanced, fulfilling lives.
Until next time, remember: the laundry can wait, but the moments that matter most cannot.
Keep glowing, Mama! 🌟
With warmth and reflection,
